The services of Authentic U reflect the culmination of over a decade of personal and professional development fused with the style, passion and vision of founder, Jennifer Weiss.
Always fascinated with people and how their minds work, Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.
It was during her studies at UWO that she discovered the work of Iyanla Vanzaant and the field of Life Coaching. This opened up a whole new world of possibility and Jenn fell in love with learning more about alternative methods for helping people help themselves.
In 2003, Jenn travelled alone to Europe with a backpack, a sleeping bag and a small tent. It was on this trip that she broke free from all of the ideas, perceptions and expectations of her former environment that included, family, friends and a society that seemed to have predetermined who she was supposed to be.
“Floating in the Mediterranean, staring back at the shoreline of the coast of France, it dawned on me: I am completely anonymous here. No one knows who I am supposed to be. This is what freedom feels like. Freedom to create my authentic self.”
Jenn is passionate about guiding others to take time out to discover who they are at their authentic core and empowers them to celebrate what they find.
From sweat lodges to personal development seminars, goddess retreats to psychotherapy, women’s healing circles to self-esteem programming for pre-teen girls, Jenn takes pride in her wide spectrum of experience and is committed to bridging the gap between traditional methods of dealing with life’s challenges and more creative, personal and intuitive approaches.
